We're looking for an Associate Educational Visits Adviser to join our team here at EVOLVE Advice!

EVOLVE Advice provides world-class advice and guidance to Schools, Local Authorities and Trusts on all matters relating to learning outside the classroom. A new opportunity has arisen for an Associate Educational Visits Adviser within our small, vibrant and friendly team.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, people person. We pride ourselves on a prompt, friendly and comprehensive services to our clients and are looking for someone with the same positive personality.

Successful applicants will be well organised and self-motivated individuals that are used to handling a number of tasks and taking direction as well as giving their opinion on matters.

The role will involve supporting all of our clients by providing written and verbal advice and guidance; scrutinising visit paperwork, delivering training courses and support at events and conferences.

Based out of our Long Buckby Office with limited travel to clients/events nationwide and on occasion internationally.

Need to know

This is a permanent, full time (Monday to Friday) position, but we may consider part time school hours (09:00-14:30) and/or term time only for the right candidate. There is a 3 month probation period. We’re looking for an July/September start.

Salary: £35,000 per year (FTE). Location: Long Buckby, Northamptonshire (Remote/Hybrid working available)

Your responsibilities

To act as an Adviser in support of the company’s contracts with clients. You will work under the close guidance and support of the senior advisers.

  • To provide scrutiny and approval of overseas, residential and adventurous visits using the EVOLVE system.

  • To provide innovative solutions to problems and demonstrate a proactive and solution orientated approach to driving forward company initiatives.

  • To provide educational visits related Training via Zoom, Teams and In-person (EVC, Visit Leader, Risk Assessment, Snowsport, EVOLVE Training).

  • To provide educational visits related advice and guidance.

  • Attend the occasional events/tradeshows.

  • Delivery of occasional Outdoor Learning Sessions to Teachers and Young People.

We are looking for someone who ….

  • Has experience of teaching or deliver of course

  • Has outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Knows how to deliver a great presentation (Powerpoint and verbal)

  • Understands the benefits of educational visits/Outdoor Learning

  • Can analyse and make decisions on risk assessment and trip proposals under supervision

  • Can assimilate information quickly

  • Loves solving problems

  • Is professional, positive and friendly

  • Is customer-focused

  • Has excellent computer skills

  • Takes the initiative and proactively identifies tasks requiring attention.

  • Learns and adapts to fast changes.

  • Is happy to seek assistance from colleagues where required.

  • Has a confident attitude towards work.

  • Remains focused on tasks.

  • Works well in a small team, communicates with colleagues at all levels and would make a positive contribution to our relaxed, but hard-working office environment.

  • Has previous relevant experience, although this is not essential.

Ideally… (desirable but not essential)

    • Experience working directly with education establishments and EVOLVE systems (we will provide training as needed)

    • Holds a PGCE/Teaching/Training Qualification

    • Previous use of Apple Mac computers desirable

    • Health and Safety Qualification (e.g. NEBOSH/NCRQ certificate or above)

    • IOSH Managing Safely (or willingness to complete immediately at our cost)

    • Holds outdoor instructor qualifications (all considered)

    • Has led educational visits for school or youth groups
