It’s an additional tool to use when managing your educational visits, offering curated, relevant answers to your questions in an instant. You can have confidence in eva! – it is closely monitored and updated by our Educational Visits Advisers, and you’ll always have the option seek our tailored, contextual advice at any stage.
Why AI?
AI can be a helpful tool to provide quick answers and save you time searching. Even though we have a fast turnaround for advice and support queries here at EVOLVE Advice, sometimes you need to double check something late at night or when you’re preparing your risk assessments and you just want an answer now. eva! can help with that.
Where can I access eva!?
eva! Educational Visits Assistant is currently available to EVOLVE Advice direct clients using EVOLVE Premium or those accessing EVOLVE via the EVOLVE Advice gateway. If you’re not sure if this is you, contact support@evolveadvice.co.uk and we can help you. You can access eva! via your EVOLVE system. Simply log in to EVOLVE in the usual way and click on the eva! button in the bottom corner.
The eva! AI assistant is live 24/7, ideal for when you need a quick reference point or want to check that you’re applying the right guidance. Our team of highly experienced Educational Visits Advisers are available to help and can provide personal and contextual advice for your visits.
How accurate is eva!?
Very. We’ve tested eva!’s answers extensively and have invited experienced EVCs and educational visits advisers to try to ‘break it’. We’ve been impressed by eva!’s ability to find and summarise relevant information quickly.
eva! is trained on national and government guidance, the data is carefully checked and updated to ensure that eva! is answering with current and correct responses. It is prevented from drawing on wider (uncontrolled) sources from the internet which may not be accurate. Our advisory team keeps eva! regularly updated with changes to national and government guidance. We have carefully trained it over many months to only provide information from a specific set of data.
eva! is not a generative AI tool so it will only respond using the information that it has been trained on. This is both a critical safety feature for eva! and also a source of limitation in that the assistance provided by eva! cannot apply specific policies or contextual information from your educational setting. It is helpful as a guide and a quick way to find information that you can then apply to your own setting using your professional judgment and the support of your Educational Visits Adviser. eva! should not be relied on for subjective decisions or advice. You always need to take into account your own context and school, MAT, Group, or LA policies. Please see the section ‘disclaimer’ for more information on its limitations.
Does it replace my adviser?
No. eva! is an additional tool you can use to help you find the answer to questions based on national and government guidance. It’s ideal for when you just need to double check or look something up. It won’t replace the experienced and contextualised advice that your adviser provides.
Who can use eva! Educational Visits Assistant?
eva! is currently available to a subset of EVOLVE Advice clients* as part of a second-phase pilot. Its use and effectiveness remains under continual review. Subject to assessment during this pilot phase, eva! will then be made available to all EVOLVE Advice clients as part of their advice service packages.
